Squires and Bees suspended by OSHL after Chantler hit
Environment Canada predicting up to 20 cm of snow
March 3, 2023
Environment Canada has upgraded its winter storm watch to a warning saying Lambton County could see up to 20 cm of snow.
Heavy snow and strong winds are expected to begin this afternoon or early in the evening and then quickly become heavy at times. The combination might create reduced visibility and hazardous travel conditions.
The temperatures in Lambton and Middlesex could remain above zero during the snowfall causing the snow to become mixed with rain, which would limit accumulations, Environment Canada says.
Rapidly accumulating snow could make travel difficult over some locations. Visibility may be suddenly reduced at times in heavy snow.
Both the public and separate school boards cancelled buses in the region in anticipation of this afternoon’s storm.
