Lambton Jr Sting reach consolation finals

The Lambton Jr. Sting will take an eight-game winning streak into the Alliance U16 playoff (consolation) finals against the Windsor Jr. Spitfires. Dates have yet to be announced.

Petrolia’s Roen Douglas scored the game-winner with seven-and-a-half minutes left in the third period on the weekend in a 4-3 win over Elgin-Middlesex to complete the round-robin semi-finals with a perfect 8-0 record.

Douglas also had an assist.

Isaac Truman, Owen Knight and Carter Fogarty also scored for the Jr. Sting who battled back from 1-0 and 3-2 deficits.

Ben Siroen and Jack Nesbitt had two assists each for Lambton.

Blake Verberne was the winning goaltender.
