Truman selected by London Knights

Petrolia’s Issac Truman has been drafted by the London Knights in the OHL Priority Selection this weekend.

Truman was one of four Lambton Jr. Sting U16 team to be taken in the draft.

Jack Nesbitt was selected in the first round and will not have to go far from home to embark on his OHL career. The captain was selected in the first round Friday night, 20th overall, by the Windsor Spitfires.The 6’4″, 195 lb. power forward had 33 goals and 80 points in 56 regular season, playoff and tournament games with the Jr. Sting this season.

He also was part of Team Ontario’s gold medal winning team at the Canada Winter Games earlier this season.

After Nesbitt was taken 20th overall in the OHL Priority Selection by the Windsor Spitfires on Friday night, three more Lambton Jr. Sting teammates were selected on Saturday.

Owen Knight was taken in the ninth round by the Sudbury Wolves while Isaac Truman and Luke Laevens were chosen in the 14th and 15th rounds by the London Knights and Spitfires respectively.
