There was lots of music, pizza and fun at the 10th annual Pizza Fest Saturday at Victoria Park in Petrolia. Town of Petrolia officials say 6,700 slices were sold by the six participating pizza establishments – Domino’s , Bud’s Family Pizza, Johnny G’s, Petrolia Pizza & Subs, Pizza Hut and Wise Guys Inc.
Officials say at times, line ups for pizza stretched across the park and many were seen chopping down on pizza throughout the afternoon. The Petrolia Scouts were also selling freezies and ice cream bars, to everyone cool, either taking in one of the local bands or climbing on the inflatables.
The event is a fundraiser for the Petrolia Community Foundation. It’s likely this year’s donation will top $1,800.
