LCCVI Girls advance to rugby consolation final at OFSAA

LCCVI beat Burlington-Central, 12-7 to reach the consolation final at the OFSAA girls’ A/AA rugby tournament in Belleville.
The Lady Lancers will go up against Clarington-Central on Wednesday morning at 9:30 for the consolation trophy.
LCCVI lost its tournament opener on Monday, 24-12 to Napanee but rebounded to blank Simcoe-Holy Trinity, 5-0 in consolation play on Tuesday before beating Burlington.
The Lancers were ranked 13th heading into the tournament.
