PHOTOS: LCCVI Athletes bring home gold, silver and bronze from OFSAA

When Charlie Shaw clinched the bronze medal in the 800m race at OFSAA Saturday, he helped complete the medallion set for LCCVI.

The LCCVI Senior placed third in the 800m Saturday. It was a tight finish with less two third of a second between first place Shamiso Sikaneta from Toronto and Shaw.

Shaw ran the 800m in 1:55.22 beating his personal best by four seconds.

Shaw also placed fifth with his personal best Friday in the 1500m.

Shaw’s bronze was the third medal for LCCVI at the provincial championship. Hunter Campbell won gold in the Junior Men’s Discus Thursday and Hunter Mitchell took home silver in the 100m hurdles. Mitchell ran 43.70 s finishing 12th overall in the 300m hurdles Saturday.

James Grant came in eighth in Novice 800m. He ran the race Saturday with a time of 2:03.98.

And Jack Helps finished 11th in the Senior Men’s Javelin with a throw of 43.15m Saturday.

LCCVI evacuated after alarm in tech wing sounds
