Dan Cumming says the Alvinston Pro Rodeo is adding another level of excitement to this year’s event.
The professional rodeo circuit is making a stop in Alvinston this weekend with shows Friday and Saturday night starting at 7 pm and another Sunday at 2 pm.
Along with events like roping, riding and bull riding, visitors will get a chance to see chuckwagon racing. Chuck Sowden, who runs chuckwagon races at Ontario fairs, will be hosting two heats of two teams.
“We want to keep things fresh and wow the crowds that have been supporting this event since it began. We’ve seen the chuckwagon races happening at other big rodeos like the Calgary Stampede and thought, why not give this a try in Alvinston,” says Cumming.
The rodeo is on tap Friday, Saturday and Sunday and attracts professionals from around the world and from Lambton County.
