June 16, 2023

During the annual general meeting of International Silver Stick in Collingwood last weekend, Joe Rombouts was presented with the commissioner’s award.

Rombouts has been a tournament director for over 40 years. He and his wife, Cathy, are familiar faces at the Watford arena and in other rinks as he attends opening ceremonies in the region.

Commissioner Ross O’Connell says Rombouts is an excellent spokesman for the tournament. “ I have known Joe for a number of years and he is a big promoter of what Silver Stick is all about ‘Citizenship and International Goodwill’ through Silver Stick hockey,” he says adding he was pleased to present Rombouts with the award.
