Noah Olver finished in a tie for 13th place and was top Canadian in the 47-player field in the boys’ 10 and 11 division at the recent Optimist World Junior Golf Tournament in Florida.

The Brights Grove resident had rounds of 81, 80, and 79. The member of the Sarnia Golf and Curling Club has already qualified for the same Optimist event in 2024.

Meantime, Lucas Rogers of Kettle Point finished a tie for 70th in a field of 130 golfers in the boys’ 13 and 14 group and Petrolia’s Jackson Policicchio is part of the boys’ 16-18 group but their tournament has been affected by inclement weather.
