Meet the newest member of Lambton OPP – Tackle
August 2, 2023
Lambton OPP’s new crime fighting canine is ready to tackle crime.
A two-year old German Shepherd from Alabama named Tackle has joined the detachment’s Canine Unit.
Right now, Tackle has completed training for tracking, evidence search building clearing and criminal apprehension. He’s completing testing on odour recognition for drugs and firearms later in August.
Tackle will join Lambton’s other police service dogs – Blitz and Celaena. Once Tackle has completed his testing, he’ll replace the retiring Blitz who is now 12 years old.
