East Lambton Community Center fundraiser surpasses $2 million goal

August 5, 2023

Warwick Township marked the end of a one-year campaign which raised over $2 million to refurbish the Watford arena and build a new community center.

George and Rhonda Noll – the leaders of the fundraising committee – had the honour of lifting the veil off the new donor wall at the East Lambton Community Complex Thursday. The complex, which includes a fitness center run by the Y, replaced the old Centennial Hall. The ELCC opened in October 2022.

A total of $2,115,549.00 was raised through fundraising efforts over the last year.

The committee, the Nolls said, was blown away by support for the new facility and the number of people and businesses who came forward to donate toward the campaign.

Warwick Mayor Todd Case says “It is incredible what people in a small town like ours can accomplish. This committee did a fantastic job in their fundraising efforts.”
