RIDE Check on St. Clair Parkway leads to charges

A 50 year-old Wallaceburg man is facing four impaired driving charges after a RIDE Check on the St. Clair Parkway.

Lambton OPP had set up the RIDE Check Aug. 6 on the weekend with two community festivals along the river.

When the vehicle entered the RIDE Check police believed the driver had been drinking. Officers did a roadside check and arrested the man.

The Wallaceburg man faces charges of two charges of impaired driving, driving while under suspension and having a blood alcohol count above zero as a novice driver.

He’ll be in court in Sept. to answer to the charge.
