Charges laid after MPs office hit with rock
RIDE Check on St. Clair Parkway leads to charges

A 50 year-old Wallaceburg man is facing four impaired driving charges after a RIDE Check on the St. Clair Parkway.
Lambton OPP had set up the RIDE Check Aug. 6 on the weekend with two community festivals along the river.
When the vehicle entered the RIDE Check police believed the driver had been drinking. Officers did a roadside check and arrested the man.
The Wallaceburg man faces charges of two charges of impaired driving, driving while under suspension and having a blood alcohol count above zero as a novice driver.
He’ll be in court in Sept. to answer to the charge.

Heather Wright/The Independent Sarnia Police have charged a 41-year-old London man after a rock telling ‘floor crossers’ to resign was thrown at MP Marilyn Gladu’s Sarnia constituency office. Police say a man wearing a ski mask went to her office May 28 and threw the rock at the window. The glass didn’t break, but a few scratches were left behind.

Alvinston fire destroys shed
