Two drowned in the waters off Ipperwash on the Canada Day weekend

Brooke-Alvinston-Watford fair starts with $46K raised for Childrens’ Hospital
September 30, 2023
Families flooded to the Brooke-Alvinston-Inwood Community Centre for the opening of the annual fall fair.
And they started the weekend event with a pie auction raising money for the Childrens’ Hospital in London. Several children who had used the hospital over the years, including Jackson Mitchell of Oil Springs and Amelia Schalk of Alvinston, who have used the hospital over the years, were on hand to help raise money for the place which helped them. Over $46,700 was raised for the Children’s Health Foundation.
The midway was also a popular spot. Fair board officials said two different midways were onsite with rides for all ages.
The fair continues Saturday with the annual parade and 4H events. Sunday includes a demolition derby.
