OPP investigate after ride with children on board crashes to the ground

Brigden Fair officials say the OPP is investigating after a ride at the fair broke and fell to the ground with children on it.

Friday, children were on the ride which was about five to 10 feet off the ground moving up and down and in circles when one of the cars – a whale – crashed to the ground.

Several children who were in the car and were examined by paramedics on site, however it appears no one was seriously injured.

Brigden Fair President John Scott told The Independent he could not speak about what happened because of the police investigation.

The OPP was not immediately available for comment.

All of the other rides continue to operate. The fair continues until Monday.
