Jets spoil the Killer Bees’ party with the first win of the series

Alvinston’s Redick, Durham win silver

Sydney Redick and her Durham Lords teammates finished second at the OCAA provincial women’s softball championship on the weekend in Etobicoke.
The Oshawa-based Lords lost 8-3 to Windsor’s St. Clair College in the final Saturday. The Saints had forced the one-game showdown with a 17-3 win over Durham earlier in the day.
Durham had beaten St. Clair, 7-4 in the preliminary round and downed Mohawk, 7-2. Redick ended her collegiate career batting .417 over the four-game tournament. She had a solo home run, two walks, two runs scored and four RBI.
