Lancer Jr Boys fall to Kennedy in basketball final

A 23-point outburst in the second quarter lifted the visiting Kennedy Collegiate Clippers to a 47-39 win over LCCVI in the SWOSSA junior boys’ AA basketball final Thursday in the Petrolia gym.
The Lancers led 9-7 after one quarter but fell behind 30-20 at the intermission.
The Lancers cut the gap to six in the third quarter but couldn’t get any closer.
Kennedy led 38-29 after three quarters.

They placed in the top five at the SWOSSAA Cross Country meet in Canatara Park Thursday to claim their spot at the provincial championship. Lancers defeat Eagles in Senior and Junior Girls’ basketball

Nadia Alfadilli had 16 points for LCCVI in the win, Aliya Anderson netted 11 and Meagan Munro had six. Alexis Wice was high scorer for North Lambton with 11 points in Thursday’s game.
