York1, Chatham-Kent officials to meet this month

Dawn-Euphemia OKs construction project for grain operation
February 26, 2024
Rutherford will be buzzing with construction soon.
Jackson Seed Service purchased the grain operation in the Dawn-Euphemia community last year. Feb.20 , Craig Jackson was at council asking for approval for his plan to revitalize the site.
Jackson is building two new grain bins, a hydro transformer shed, a weigh scale and will connect to municipal water and sewer system.
Council gave the green light for the development.
In the future, Lambton County wants to see Dawn Mills Road in front of the facility widened, however Administrator Donna Clermont says that project is a couple of years away.
It’s not clear how long the construction at the grain operation will take.
