The LCCVI Lancers are the Lambton-Kent Boys’ Hockey champions.

The team beat North Lambton 7-2 in a game that was tied at ones midway through the second.

Adam Valiquette broke open the scoring at the five minute mark of the second as the Lancers peppered the Eagles net scoring three more before the period ended.

Valiquette had the hat trick in the Lancers’ victory. Roen Douglas had two goals and two assists in the Thursday final.

Rhett Joy and Shane Knight had a goal each to round out the Lancers scoring.

Lucas George and Hunter Oulds scored for NLSS.

As the team photo was taken, team members were smiling but saying ‘Job not done.’ LCCVI heads to SWOSSA next week.

Grant backstops Flyers to home ice win
