LCCVI OFSAA bound after 4-3 double overtime win

The LCCVI Boys’ Hockey team is heading to OFSAA.
Tyler McGrail scored 1:56 into the second overtime – just seven seconds into LCCVI’s first power play of the game – to help the Lancers punch their ticket to the provincial championship in the 4-3 win over the Belle River Nobles Tuesday afternoon.
Adam Valliquette, Ben McGugan and Jack Morningstar scored for LCCVI before Belle River, playing with an extra man, scored with just 1:04 left in the third period sending it to overtime.
Sean Shanahan had a stand up performance in net with several outstanding saves in the overtime periods.
The Lancers now head to OFSAA March 19 to 20 in Brooklin near Whitby.
