Branton wins swimmer of university nationals meet

Shona Branton (won four medals and was named Swimmer of the Meet at the U Sports Swimming Championship in suburban Montreal on the weekend.

The Port Lambton native won gold medals in the 50 and 100 metre breaststroke events, setting new university records in both races. She also captured a silver in the 200 metre breaststroke and was third with her Western Mustangs teammates in the 4 x 100 metre relay.

Branton is a former member of the Sarnia Rapids Swim Club.

Rural policing relief coming from province
