Two charged in Walpole Island shooting

Two people have been charged after a shooting incident on Walpole Island.

Lambton OPP and the Walpole Island Police Service were called to Dump Road April 1 after a person was shot at by two people.

Police say no one was injured but they found empty firearm casings were observed on the ground in the area. OPP found the pair and arrested them without incident.

Seneca Day, 40, of Walpole Island and Tyler Taylor, 27, of Chatham has been charged with possession of a dangerous weapon, pointing a fire arm and discharging a firearm with intent.

Day also faces drug charges after a search found cocaine and methamphetamine.

The pair were remanded in custody following a bail hearing.
