Two charged in gun incident

Two people are facing weapons charges after an incident on Walpole Island.
Around 9 pm Monday, Lambton OPP and the Walpole Island Police Service were called to Tecumseh Road on the island. Officers set up a containment of the area with OPP Tactics and Rescue Unit, Emergency Response Teams and the Canine Unit.
Two people were eventually arrested at the scene without incident.
A 19 and 21 year-old from Walpole Island have both been charged with possession of weapon for a dangerous purpose.
They’ll be in court July 11.
