LCCVI’s Helps takes fourth in javelin at OFSSA

LCCVI’s Jack Helps placed fourth in the Senior Men’s Javelin at OFSSA.

Helps best throw was 53.65m at the provincial meet held at Western University in London. That was about two meters less than his throw at West Region and the bronze medalist at OFSSA.

Also Saturday morning; Meagan Munro placed second in her heats of the Novice Women’s 300m Hurdles to advance to this afternoon’s final.

LCCVI’s Meagan Munro placed second in her heat for the Novice Women’s 300m hurdles. She races in the final Saturday afternoon.

And Emma Smith of North Lambton placed first in her heat of the Women’s 800m Intellectual with a time of about 3:04m advancing to her final this afternoon.

LCCVI evacuated after alarm in tech wing sounds

Sports Briefs: Express finish third at U17 tourney

The Express beat teams from Goderich and Exeter but lost to the Sweaburg Storm to finish the tournament with a record of 2-1. ••• The Corunna Giants U11 girls’ fastball team won silver medals at a tournament in Chatham last weekend.
