Warwick Township inks $2.5M deal for municipal office

Addison Hext, 3, and her mom, Amy, were serving up lemonade during The Big Squeeze.
The Big Brothers/Big Sisters of Sarnia-Lambton hosted the event Wednesday as a fundraiser. In the four years The Big Squeeze has been held, the number of lemonade stands has grown from 19 to 62.
The Hext family set up their stand at their business, Johnny G’s, on Petrolia Line. Sipken’s Nursery, Black Gold Brewery and the Lambton OPP also had stands in the county.
Last year, the event raised over $40,000. This year’s totals are still being calculated.

Sarnia firefighters rescue person from garbage truck

The Independent Sarnia firefighters helped a person who ended up in a garbage truck. Around 6 am Friday, firefighters responded to a report of a person trapped in a garbage truck.
