Wallaceburg woman charged in hit and run death

Lambton OPP have laid a charge in a hit and run death on Walpole Island.
On Aug. 25, around 3 am, Lambton OPP were called to an accident between a vehicle and pedestrian. Police said the vehicle left the scene.
A 47 year-old Walpole Island First Nation was pronounced dead at the scene.
On Aug. 30, police arrested a 27 year-old Wallaceburg woman and charged her with failing to stop at an accident resulting in death.
She’s scheduled to appear in Sarnia Court Sept. 25.
