Canadian teams head to semi finals a U17 World Cup

Canada White is heading into today’s semi final matchup against Sweden with another win in its pocket.
Mathis Preston scored a pair of second period goals, including one on the power play, to help Canada White punch its ticket to the semifinals in a 4-2 win over Finland.
Ethan Belchetz of the Windsor Spitfires opened the scoring just 14 seconds into the game, and Adam Valentini rounded out the Canadian scoring.
Gavin Betts made 16 saves for Canada.
Canada White takes on Sweden in the semifinals at 3:30 pm. Canada Red takes on USA at 730 pm Friday night.
