Wyoming’s White Canadian champion

Wyoming’s Michael White is a Canadian boxing champion. And he did it in front of a hometown crowd.

The LCCVI student of the Bluewater Boxing Club beat Oswald Hohenwarten of Quebec in a 4-1 decision at the 2024 Elite and U23 National Championships hosted by Boxing Canada in Sarnia this weekend.

The Wyoming fighter won a unanimous decision over Victor Salamaka of Edmonton in a semi-final fight in the elite 75-kilo division.

Top Olympic-Style boxers from across the nation converged in Southern Ontario for the four-day tournament.
