Two Ontario men face charges after alleged immigration fraud at Lambton College

Time capsule marks 175 years in Lambton
December 26, 2024
Laurie Webb, Lambton County’s manager of museums, gallery and archives, was showing former Wardens Bill Weber and Steve Arnold some of the items in the Lambton 175th anniversary time capsule.
Andrew Meyer, the general manager of culture, says the idea came after workers renovating the council chambers accidentally uncovered the 150th Anniversary time capsule behind a plaque they’d planned to move.
The museum employees got to work finding items such as an unused piece of the Canatara Cabin, which is being rebuilt. There are news releases from every event the county held to mark the anniversary and the agenda and Oath of Office from the 2024 Warden’s election held Dec. 4.
Also included in the package is The Independent’s Petrolia150 Historic edition distributed to residents of the town during its anniversary year. The 175th and 150th time capsules are now hidden behind a wall in the front foyer of the county building in Wyoming.
