Sarnia homeowner scares off burgler

Sarnia Police are looking for a man after a homeowner confronted someone who broke into an Elizabeth Ave basement.
Police say just before 7 pm, Jan. 7, a man broke into a basement window but was confronted by a resident. He fled empty handed through the same window.
The homeowner searched the area for about 10 minutes before calling police. Officers and the Canine Unite went to the area and tried to find the man, with no results.
Police are looking for a 5’5″ man wearing a full face mask, a dark-coloured jacket with a black hood, grey or black pants and grey work boots.
