One dead, one arrested after incident at Sarnia Jail

January 8, 2025

A Sarnia man is charged with first degree murder after an inmate at the Sarnia Jail was killed.

Early Wednesday morning, police were called to the jail and found Douglas Cutbush, 51, unresponsive in his cell. He had no vital signs and pronounced dead at the scene.

Police arrested his cellmate, Devin Gary Fentie, and charged him with first degree murder.

An autopsy is taking place today.

Man beaten in Grand Bend over holiday weekend

The Independent Lambton OPP are looking for clues after an aggravated assault in Grand Bend. OPP were called to Main Street around 2:30 am May 17 and found a man who had been assaulted.
