Sarnia police investigate after human remains near Highway 40 and Lasalle Line

Human remains have been found in the area of Highway 40 and Lasalle Line, near the Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
Sarnia Police said Saturday there will be an “increased police presence in the area for several days” while the scene is searched.
Investigators and the Coroner’s office are working to determine the identity of the remains and the cause of death, said police in a news release.
