January 24, 2025
Sarnia Police say the body found on Lasalle Line six days ago has been identified as Brad Ogilvie.
The Sarnia man disappeared November 2023. Eleven months later, police determined he’d been murdered.
Robin Alexander Maness, 44, Trevor John Waller, 47, and Nikki Jean Cottrelle, 42, were charged with first degree murder. At the news conference announcing the charges, Ogilvie’s father, Glenn, pleaded for information about his son and for compassion for people with addictions. His son, like others, he said, was dealing with a drug addiction but they “deserve to live whether they’re addicted or not.
Jan. 18, police discovered a body in a wooded area in the Highway 40 and Lasalle Line.
Friday, police said the Coroners Office has positively identified the found human remains Ogilvie’s.
“On behalf of the Sarnia Police Service, we extend our deepest condolences to Bradley’s family and friends. It is our sincere hope that his recovery and return to his family will provide them a small measure of comfort and closure in this difficult time.” Chief Derek Davis
The three charged in Ogilvie’s death remain in custody.
