Petrolia Flyers set franchise record with win 27

The Petrolia Flyers set a new franchise record for wins in a single season with a 5-4 win over Thamesford Thursday at Greenwood Recreation Centre.

It was Petrolia’s 27th win of the season, eclipsing the previous mark of 26 in 2002-03 when the team was in Alvinston.

Tobias Iantorno had the game-winning goal at 11:59 of the third period. He and Ethan Flintoff had a goal and an assist on the night. Andrew Jaques, Mateo Craievich and Austin Harper also scored for the Flyers. Cam Davidson had two assists.

Ethan Everaert made 18 saves.

Petrolia is now 27-11-3 on the season and will close out the regular season against the Sailors in Port Stanley on Saturday.
