Lambton’s Hookey reaches 30-goal plateau with Owen Sound
February 21, 2025
Landen Hookey has hit the 30-goal mark with the OHL’s Owen Sound Attack this season. He scored what proved to the game-winning goal midway through the first period on Thursday as the Attack beat the Colts, 5-1 in Barrie.
The win moved Owen Sound past the Soo for the final playoff spot in the Western Conference. Both teams have 13 games remaining including a huge game between the teams in the Soo on Sunday afternoon.
Hookey, a Lambton Jr. Sting grad, becomes the first local player to reach the 30-goal plateau since current Sting assistant coach Dustin Jeffrey scored 38 with the Greyhounds in 2007-08.
