The Petrolia/North Enniskillen Fire Department is mourning the loss of a long time volunteer firefighter who served his community with ‘passion.’
Erv Sullivan who served in the department for 45 years and held the rank of Lieutenant, died Wednesday.
“Erwin’s commitment and service to our community were truly remarkable, and his legacy will not be forgotten,” said Chief Rick Cousins while expressing his condolences to the family
Judy Krall, past Fire Committee Chair said, “Erv was always willing to go the extra mile, whether he was on the front line of a fire or walking the crowds at community events with a fire boot to collect donations, he did it all, and always in the spirit of community”
“Even in retirement Mr. Sullivan’s passion for the department was visible, his presence in our community
will be missed,” said Chad Hyatt, current Fire Committee Chair
Funeral service arrangements have yet to be released. Flags at Town Hall have been lowered to half staffed in his honour.
