Border agents stop $68 million in drugs at Bluewater Bridge since January

Canada Border Security agents have stopped over $68 million in drugs from coming into Canada over the Bluewater Bridge.
That from the Canada Border Security Agency as it announced the seizure of $11 million in cocaine March 19.
Border officials and the RCMP seized about 419 kilograms of cocaine in two separate stops.
On Feb. 27, border guards found four dufflebags with 86 kg of cocaine a commercial truck coming from the United States. Officials estimate the drugs have a street value of about $2.3 million. Pawandeep Dhillon, 34, of Innisfi faces possession for the purpose of trafficking charges.
Then, on March 6, border officials searched a commercial transport and found about 333 kg of cocaine in the trailer. It’s value is estimated at $9 million. Ravinderbir Singh, 23, of Brampton faces trafficking charges.
Michael Prosia, A/Regional Director General in southern Ontario for CBSA said since the beginning of the year, border security officers have stopped $68 million worth of drugs from getting into Canada from the United States.
