Flyers beat Exeter in Game One

Noel Sanderson scored the first and the last goal and had an assist along the way as the Petrolia Flyers took the first game of the Yeck Divisional final.

Sanderson opened the scoring Friday night at the Greenwood Recreation Centre at 13:19 off the sticks of Austin Harper and Tobias Iantorno.

Ryan Richardson scored in about four minutes later to make it 2-0.

Exeter’s Owen Shore brought the game within one. Lucas Rogers put the Flyers up 3-1 at the end of the second. Parker Davidson and Caleb Kennedy assisted.

Iantorno extended the Flyers’ lead to 4-1 at 7:30; Sanderson and Richardson assisted.

Twenty-seven seconds later, Sanderson found the back of the net again. Andrew Jaques and Pheonix Timmington assisted.

Ethan Everaert saved 27 of 28 shots in net.

Petrolia travels to South Huron Sunday for game two.
