The two MPP’s serving Lambton County will be working together in the Ministry of Rural Affairs.
Premier Doug Ford released the list of MPPs to serve as parliamentary assistants for the next four years and both Lambton-Kent-Middlesex MPP Steve Pinsonneault and Sarnia-Lambton MPP Bob Bailey will serve as assistants to the Minister of Rural Affairs, Lisa Thompson.
The ministry is tasked with encouraging economic development in rural communities.
Pinsonneault has additional duties as the Ontario PC’s deputy whip – a job which ensures MPPs are in the house for votes and at committee meetings.
Pinsonneault will also serve as the parliamentary assistant to the Minister of Emergency Preparedness and Response. Pinsonneault is a volunteer firefighter in his hometown of Thamesville.
