Forest Xtreme to represent Ontario

The Forest Xtreme will represent Ontario this week at the Eastern Canadian Ringette Championships in Quebec.
They are in suburban Montreal panning for gold in the under-16 division involving teams from Ontario, Quebec and the Maritimes.
Forest opens the round robin portion of the tournament with a game against the PEI Edge tonight. Games continue on Friday with playoffs and the championship games are scheduled for Saturday.
The Xtreme won the right to represent Ontario by running the table at the provincial championship in the Soo last month. Forest won seven straight games, including a 3-2 victory against the Ottawa Ice in the final.
The Xtreme won a bronze medal at the Eastern Canadians last year and captured silver in 2023.
