Three Lancers post two wins at CK relays

Kole Chapman, Xander Knapp and Megan Munro all won two events each at the
recent CK Relays in Chatham.

Chapman won the junior boys’ 100 metre and 300 metre finals setting a record in
the longer of the events. His time of 44.14 seconds was almost two seconds faster
than the previous meet record set a decade ago.

Munro crossed the finish line first in the junior girls’ 80 and 300 metre hurdles
event and Knapp captured the novice boys’ 100 and 300 metre events.

Other Lancer winners were Colten Anjema, Gavin Carver, Damien Weston, Jayden
Davis-Lumley and Hannah Daniel.

The Lancers also finished second in 11 events and third in 12 others.
They were also in the top three in 13 relay and medley events.

Both Port Lambton teams topped the Chatham Diamonds on Saturday at the Western Counties Senior baseball season opened in Wallaceburg. The Pirates’ 22u team downed the Diamonds, 11-0 and the Port Lambton senior club beat Chatham, 12-2. Chatham fell to 0-3 on Sunday bowing 9-0 to Dresden.
