The Lancers claimed the AA title at the SWOSSAA Track and Field Championships.

Nine LCCVI athletes competing in 14 events have advanced to the West Region finals at Western University May 29 – 30.

Meagan Munro, Kole Chapman, Xander Knapp, Campbelle Brown, James Grant, Hunter Campbell, Darius Landon, Jayden Davis-Lumley, and Jamison Helps will represent the Lancers hoping for a berth to the OFSAA championship the following weekend in Ottawa.

Munroe won both the 80m and 300m hurdles at SWOSSAA with times of 12.81 and 47.66 respectively.

Chapman won the 300m Hurdles with a time of 41.50 and placed second in the 100m Hurdles with a time of 14.53.

Knapp placed fourth in both the 100m Novice Hurdles with a time of 15.81, and the 300m Hurdles with a time of 46.58. He’ll also represent LCCVI in the Long Jump after placing fifth Thursday.

Campbelle Brown placed fifth in the 300m Hurdles with a time of 52.89 to go to the regionals.

Grant won the 800m Senior race with a time of 1.57.90 and the 1500m with a time of 4:07.63.

Landon placed second at Senior Men’s High Jump clearing 1.75 m

Davis-Lumley placed fifth in Junior Javelin Thursday with a throw of 46.50 to advance.

And Helps placed second in Junior Shot Put with a throw of 12.91m and will also represent the Lancers at the West Region championships.
