The Wyoming Cattlebarons bats were in full swing on Sunday winning pair of games and capturing the Dave Leach Memorial baseball tournament in Port Lambton.

The Barons avenged an earlier tournament loss to Tecumseh with a 15-5 victory over the Thunder in the semi-finals and then bounced Chatham, 11-1 in the championship contest.

In the semi-final, Daniel Gibson had four hits and three RBI and Jayden Park poked a pair of two run doubles to lead Wyoming to victory. Craig Steadman was the winning pitcher.

The Cattlebarons broke open a close contest with eight runs in the third inning before adding six more in the fourth.

In the title contest, the defending OBA Senior AA champion pushed across nine runs in the first two inning and never looked back in its championship win over the Diamonds.

Dawson Feenstra, Mitchell Robb and Park all had two RBI for the champions. Corey Saunders was the winning pitcher. Chatham reached the final with a 3-0 upset win over the Corunna Giants in the other semi-final on Sunday morning.

Wyoming also registered wins over Welland and the Windsor Brewers in preliminary round action.
