The Independent
It was a deadly long weekend on Lake Huron in Lambton Shores.
Monday, an 18 year-old London resident died and a 12 year-old had to be rescued from the waters at Ipperwash Beach.
Today, Lambton OPP report another person – a 44 year-old from Lambton Shores – has also died while swimming.
Police, paramedics and Lambton Shores firefighters were called to the end of Ipperwash Road June 29 around 6:20 pm and found a swimmer who had been brought to shore by a bystander. OPP say it appears the person dove from a boat in shallow water and became unresponsive.
The 44 year-old was taken to hospital where they were pronounced dead.
Police say the investigation continues and thanks members of the public who helped the swimmer before emergency crews arrived on the scene.
