One arrested after stabbing at Walpole Island intersection

A Walpole Island man is facing seven charges after a mid-afternoon stabbing at an intersection in the community.

Tuesday, around 2:20 pm, Walpole Island Police and Lambton OPP officers were called to the intersection of Old Ferry Road and Union Hall Road. On person had been stabbed but sustained non life-threatening injuries.

Police arrested a man at a nearby home.

Jared Williams, 30, has been charged is facing charges of assault with a weapon and assault causing bodily harm as well as mischief – destroying property – break and enter and bail violations..
