Legionnaires sign two, Flags three for upcoming seasons
Squires search for new head coach

The Petrolia Squires is looking for a new volunteer head coach as well as other bench staff for the 2025-26 campaign.
It’ll be Petrolia’s first season in the Ontario Elite Hockey League after two seasons in the now defunct Ontario Super Hockey League.
Interested applicants for the coaches job should contact the team at 519-330-8100 or email at petroliasquires@gmail.com.
The successful applicant will replace Brad Wright as head bench boss. The Squires have not said why Wright is leaving.

Barry Wright/The Independent Ethan Glavin and Anthony Avellino have signed with the GOHL’s Sarnia Legionnaires for the 2026-27 season. Glavin, a late round pick by the Sting in 2025, played 43 regular season and playoff games with the Mooretown Flags last season registering two goals, 15 assists and 66 PIM.
