Flags start pre-season play

Mooretown is getting ready for the new PJHL season.
The Mooretown Flags entertain the Walpole Island Wild in PJHL exhibition hockey action Thursday at the Moore Sports Complex. Game time is 7:30.
It will be Mooretown’s first preseason contest after its scheduled game with North Middlesex last weekend was cancelled. Instead, the Flags played an intra squad game that was decided in double overtime.
Walpole Island lost 4-1 at Blenheim in its exhibition opener last Sunday. Noah Colameco had the lone goal for the Wild.
Mooretown opens its regular season at Wheatley on Sept. 10. Walpole Island’s regular season opener is against Dresden on Sept. 11.
