The Legionnaires open the regular season next Thursday against the Strathroy Rockets and there will be a familiar face on the opposition benches.
The Rockets recently added to its roster with the signing of Petrolia’s Adam Broad. The 18-year-old had four goals and 21 points in 47 games last season for the Mooretown Flags.
Sarnia has a couple of exhibition games first heading into regular season play.
London and Chatham will provide the opposition this week as the Sarnia Legionnaires close out their GOJHL preseason schedule with a pair of home games.
The Nationals visit the Progressive Auto Sales Arena on Thursday at 6:30 pm while the Maroons and Legionnaires are scheduled to do battle on Saturday at Pat Stapleton Arena. Puck drop is 7:10 pm.
