Incident with armed man over quickly in Kettle Point

Lambton OPP say one person has been arrested after a brief incident which forced residents into their homes in Kettle Point.

Around 10:25 Saturday morning, OPP and Anishinabek Police responded to an incident involving “an armed man” in Kettle Point. Anishinabeck Police said the incident was contained to a residence.

Police ordered people shelter-in-place but the order was lifted by 11 am when the person was taken into police custody.

Officials say a heavy police presence will remain in the area and there will be road closures on Lake Road and Centre Side Road for some time while the police investigate.
