Child porn possession charges laid against men in Corunna, Petrolia
October 16, 2025
There is word of two more arrests following a child sexual exploitation investigation by the OPP.
Lambton OPP helped the Child Sexual Exploitation Union and the Digital Forensics Unit execute a search warrant in Petrolia Oct. 7.
Officers seized a number of electronic devices and charged Lorry Tigner, 77, of Petrolia with two counts of possession of child pornography. He was released on bail and will be back in court Jan. 12 to answer to the charge.
Oct. 8, the same three units of the OPP went into a home in Corunna with a search warrant. They again seized a number of electronic devices.
Jesse Dowswell, 32, of Corunna has been charged with two counts of possession of child pornography. He was released after a bail hearing in Sarnia Court. He’ll be back to answer to the charges Jan. 13.
Earlier this week, OPP said a Sarnia man had been charged with possession and accessing child pornography. He was arrested Oct. 6 and returns to court in November.
“As the number of child exploitation cases continues to rise, protecting children is more urgent than ever. It is not just a responsibility, it is a moral imperative,” said Det. Staff Sgt. Chris Barkey. He encouraged parents to talk to their kids about internet safety.
