Undefeated Junior Lancers, Senior Eagles move on to LK Girls basketball finals

The unbeaten LCCVI Junior Girls and North Lambton Senior Girls are heading to the Lambton-Kent finals.

The Lancers defeated John McGregor Wednesday 50-22 to win a spot in the final.

The Junior girls will take on North Lambton in the final on Friday at 4:00 pm. The Eagles defeated Wallaceburg 19-12 in the semi final. Julia Leyten and Meaghan Green each had six points Keisha Manness had three.

Meantime; the LCCVI senior girls’ season is over after falling to John McGregor 53-33.

Undefeated North Lambton dominated Wallaceburg in the semi-finals Wednesday 60-26. Lainie Rintoul put up 15 points, Alexis Wice had 14 while Vanessa Looper and Kyla Tremaine both contributed eight points to the semi-final victory.

The Eagles will take on John McGregor in the A/AA finals on Friday at 7:00 pm.
